You’re located in a church, does that mean you provide Christian counseling?

No. We provide clinical mental health counseling from a holistic approach that will integrate all aspects of your humanity into the counseling process. If your faith is important to you, we will integrate that into the counseling process. If you identify with another faith tradition, we will integrate those core beliefs into your treatment. In counseling, we will leverage all healthy aspects of your life to help you best achieve your goals. We do not say we provide “Christian Counseling” because all are welcome, not just those who practice the Christian faith.

Do you have to be a Christian to engage in counseling with RCC?

No. All backgrounds and faith traditions are welcome.

Do you have to attend the Tree Church to engage in counseling with RCC?

No. All are welcome.

Do you work for the church?

No. Renaissance Counseling and Consultation, LLC is a privately owned Clinical Mental Health Counseling Practice that rents office space out of the back of the Tree Church. RCC does support mental health initiatives throughout the greater Lancaster community including to the Tree Church and their attendees but RCC is under its own leadership and ownership.

I don’t have someone to watch my child/children during my counseling session. Can I bring my child(ren) to my session?

We understand that finding childcare can sometimes be challenging, and while you are welcome to bring your children to your session if necessary, we kindly ask that you do so with a few considerations in mind. For the benefit of your experience and to maintain a focused and productive environment, we generally do not recommend bringing children to appointments.

If you do need to bring them, we ask that they are able to remain respectfully quiet and can for the most part, entertain themselves without disruption throughout the session. This helps ensure that both you and others can get the most out of the time. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
